Tuck — Privacy Policy

The short version: Tuck has no user accounts, never asks you to log in, and never connects to your bank. Everything you type into Tuck — your budgets, envelopes and transactions — is stored only on your own device. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Who we are
Tuck ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal budgeting app published by T&O Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 14056578). Contact: sheyi@trysignalbench.com.
What data Tuck stores, and where
- Your budgeting data (envelope names, budgeted amounts, transactions, payees, notes, accounts) is stored locally on your device in an on-device database. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a backup file and choose where to send it. We have no server and hold no copy.
- App settings (theme, currency, preferences) are stored locally on your device.
- No account, no email, no name, no location, no contacts and no bank credentials are collected — the app never asks for them.
Subscriptions and payments
Tuck offers an optional paid subscription (Tuck Premium), processed by:
- Google Play Billing — Google handles the payment. We never see your card or full payment details. Google's handling is governed by the Google Play and Google Payments privacy policies.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — we use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements (to know whether a device has an active subscription so Premium features unlock). RevenueCat receives a purchase token and an app-generated anonymous identifier, plus limited technical information needed to validate the purchase. It does not receive your budgeting data or your identity. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
We do not use advertising, and we do not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that transmit your personal data.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell or share your data (we hold none to sell).
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not connect to your bank or any financial institution.
- We do not require an internet connection for the app's core features.
Permissions the app may request
- Notifications (optional, Android 13+): only if you turn on reminders.
- Files (via the system file picker, only when you tap Import or Export): used solely to read a CSV file you choose, or to save a backup file where you choose. Tuck does not scan or access files you have not explicitly selected.
Deleting your Tuck data
Tuck has no account and stores your data only on your device. To delete everything, open Tuck → Settings → "Erase all data", or simply uninstall the app. We hold no copy of your budgeting data on any server, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. To end a subscription, cancel it in Google Play → Subscriptions.
- Export: Settings → Export backup shares a plain JSON file; you choose where it goes and it stays under your control.
- Delete: Settings → Erase all data permanently removes every record from your device. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data.
Children
Tuck is a general-audience budgeting tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL.
